Does not look good for Snoopy at the moment.

Robin's put out an APB for Snoppy's rescue/return (no comms since 1600 your time. not sure how that squares with the Spot3 data below). He also made mention that there's been a possible loss of power (5VDC) to the sail actuator motor(s). Don't know how he'd know that.

Last update on the Spot3 was at 11:59:59.

Just a quick update on this attempt, it failed but was found back on Brighton beach. I'm not actually sure what happened yet, i've tried to read through the website but my eyes are hurting!

I can't help but feel that the Snoopy is simply too small...

I agree, it needs to be bigger in order to have a better chance of counter acting the currents

He's off again! He launched yesterday morning! As I write this, it's not looking good, he looks like he's going to collide with the Portland headland again. We shall see....

Never mind. It looks like he's crashed into land again. It's been 2 hours since the last transmission when it was transmitting every half an hour. I'd say it's gone into the land and got damaged.
