They're off! Currently 5 days in going West to East. I have a good feeling about this team too as they are from Norway, they are already a business and their boat has already done a lot of sea trials. I think we'll be beaten here...

Ah, gutted! Sailbuoy is still afloat, working and over half way across, but it's gone into a fail-safe mode. From the FB page, an antenna has broken and, as it is programmed to do in this event, it is returning back to it's point of origin. In this case, that's Newfoundland.

I hope they sail again soon as their vessel seems to be the one that's likely to win.

And now it's been picked up by a fishing boat, but still in full working order bar going into the fail-safe mode. I reckon they'll be back with a winning boat very soon!
